The Long Awaited Day is here!
We have finally reached the end of the Pumpkin Patch and have made the perfect little boy..
Isn't he just the cutest!!
Ok, the Birth Story (this might take me a while to write out)
Tuesday 12th, we went to the doctor, and as you know from the last post, we got sent to the hospital because I was having contractions but they were far apart, and I wasn't really dialiated, just barely 1cm.
So we opted to go back home and start the inducement on Wednesday.
Well because I was now aware of the contractions and they were getting stronger.
But we tried to going to bed, and I woke up early Wednesday so I got up and went downstairs and decided to email my instructors telling them I was getting induced that day, and that I will try and get all my school work done for that week but be aware of what was going on.
Well my contractions kept getting stronger! and closer!
So I started printing things off for my classes and preparing for it this term.
Well we ran out of ink (was aware that was going to happen but never got around to getting some) So I had to stop printing things off.
I was timing my contractions all morning also, and they were about 7-8 minutes dropping to 4-6 minutes apart sometimes.
As I was dealing with this and talking with Mom. The hospital called and said that I'm to come in at 7:30 that night to get the process of the inducement underway. While on the phone with them I told them I was having contractions and that they were getting stronger and closer together. They asked if this was my first, and said to just keep timing and call them if it gets worse, that the first child birth ALWAYS take forever. (hehe)
So after I got off the phone with them, I told Aaron and he went into work, after eating breakfast.
and Mom and I decided about 10:30 to go to Walmart cause my contractions were not changing all that much and I just was restless, and I needed to get printer ink.
So off we went!
Dad decided to stay home and take a shower, So I told him since he has my house keys, to make sure he leaves at least one door unlock so Mom and I can get back inside.
Mom and I got to Walmart, and started walking. As we walked around Walmart we had three people stop and give me advice about child-birth, how to speed up the contractions, AND what are the must have items for the baby.
The whole time my contractions started to get stronger, and closer.
So I grabbed Mom's arm and said We had to LEAVE NOW.
As we were driving back home, I texted Aaron and asked him where he was? and he said that he was just leaving work.
Mom and I got home and guess what!
We were locked out of the house! and Dad was in the shower.
we were stuck outside for three minutes until Aaron got home, we got inside, yelled at Dad
I called the hospital and they said Oh well you need to come in now! but you should call your doctor first cause we don't have anyone here to check you.
Aaron got changed and off we went to the hospital, By now My contractions were about 3 minutes apart.
We got to the hospital, and I got a room, when we got there I was about 1 1/2 cm.
and they hooked me up to the monitors.
Now this all starts to get a little blurry to me!
So time and everything is off for me.
I progressed very fast! I will say that much.
I went from 1 cm to 4cm in a matter of an hour or 2. got my Epidural. I think I slept a little after that.
I moved from 4 to 10 in less time then that, and by then Mom and Dad had finally got there.
And Doctor Hoffman had me start pushing then!
I started pushing and Isaac wasn't coming.
So Doctor H, then got the vacuum, and tried several times with that, with no progress.
and So he tried the forceips, tug at least two times and then said, Nope not happening.
We have to do a C-Section.
I started crying then.
I was so scared, but Aaron kept me calmed and told me that it was going to be alright.
We got me into the Operation Room and they start the surgery.
and at 5:02pm Isaac Aaron Kriekel came into this world. Aaron got to watch everything. and The first sight I got to see of Isaac was his feet, and his little butt, and him peeing all over the equipment at the Pedi check him. LOL yes my son peed over everything, and the doctor.. he did good.
Once he got cleaned up, they brought him over to me, and I got to touch his check and give him lots of kisses, before Aaron and Isaac left to go to the nursery. to finish getting cleaned up and weighed and all that stuff.
The doctors then finished sewing me up, and I got to spend an hour in recovery.
But finally at around 7ish I got to finally see my son, and hold him and kiss him.
Isaac weighed in at 8lbs and 3 oz 19 inches long.

That hair! it explains all the horrible heartburn I had during the pregnancy!
After the surgery was done, and everything we found out why Isaac was being difficult. He was facing the wrong way, he was sunny side up (meaning he was facing up instead of down. and the fact he was just a good size baby too.
Though it didn't go as I had hope. I'm just happy that he is here safe and sound and healthy.
and He is perfect, I thank God everyday for him. and I couldn't be happier.
Sorry for the long post, but this is my story, and I hope you enjoyed it!
