So I thought of the test I was thinking of the other day. Its the Glucose Test, so I have to do that at the next appt. yay! not.
Not fun, but other then that, nothing really exciting happening. the baby been kicking like crazy! He apparently likes Mac and Cheese, cause I had that yesterday for lunch and he was kicking me for a good half hour after I ate it.
Thursday we went to Boldt Castle, on Heart Island.. GORGEOUS place! Oh I had a hay day taking pictures around there.. Now if I only had a good Photoshop program to play around with those photos! oh well, I'll request that for Christmas or Birthday or something lol.
but here are a couple of the pictures I love!
Aaron and I in front of the Power House (which is what gave power to the castle)
the Castle (looks like something from like Harry Potter or Disney World ?)
I decided I wanted to live here when we retire!
the playhouse, (yes the playhouse)
a couple artsy type photo's (would love to go back with a couple or a model and take pictures of them just to much fun!)
Surprising after all that walking, My ankles didn't swell that bad! my back was killing me but it wasn't horrible.. But man for a couple days afterwards my ankles and calves did hurt! but it was the neatest place ever! I loved it there! and we had lucked out when we went, It was raining when we went got on the boat (oh by the way only way to get to this place is by boat, ONLY by boat, its on an island, How cool is that?!?!) But when we got to Heart Island (which is where Boldt Castle resides on) we had blue skies and no rain! it was when we got back to main land that it started down pouring again! so that part sucked cause we had to stand in the pouring rain waiting for the shuttle to take us back to our truck. But we had fun! and was worth it going. Had a great time! I want to go back. LOL
Um what else has been going on. This weekend we had one of Aaron's Co-worker's come over with his family, and we had a cook-out and played Scene-It and it was a great time! His wife and I are becoming fast friends, and have already determine we are going to be battle buddies when the hubbies deploy.
Um Other then that nothing else been going on, just having fun, and preparing for this baby to get here!
So here is the Weekly Update of what the baby is doing!
Baby's now the size of a papaya!
Baby's skin is becoming more opaque as the fat starts to pack on. And, thanks to the formation of small capillaries, his newly thick skin is taking on a fresh pink glow.
Your Baby in Week 24 of Pregnancy
Your baby is about eight and a half inches long and weighs one and a half pounds, gaining steadily at a rate of six ounces per week. Much of that weight comes from accumulating baby fat, as well as from growing organs, bones, and muscle. Those little ears of hers are getting sharper and can hear very loud sounds, from a yapping dog to a jackhammer. Also by now, that fabulous face is almost fully formed, complete with eyelashes, eyebrows, and hair. Is your baby a brunette, a blonde, or a redhead? Actually, right now her locks are white since there's no pigment yet.
